Do you think the ISU should recognise World Records in the Masters divisions of short track?

Yes, why not - if national federations recognise national Masters records then I reckon the ISU should too.

Yes , Fully agree on this, Assume that ISU has recognised longtrack masters records. However think they would have to be "world best" rather than world records due to different track sizes and timing equipmet and records etc. Need to collate them all before it can be taken any further

Agreed. I have collected the world best times that have been ratified by the international bodies that responded to my request. In regards to track sizes, timing equipment and the like, I would suggest the following:
Records are only considered WB or WR when skated on ISU regulation tracks with Lynx (electronic) timing.
In my view, there needs to be two record divisions: Masters and Elite Masters.
Elite Masters would be times recorded by skaters who are still active at World Cup, World Championship or Olympic level, and times are set whilst skating in elite level events.
Masters would be for records skated by Masters in Masters division in competition. If the record is set whilst skating within a senior division, it would only be considered as an Elite Record.
The ISU do not officially recognise any Masters records in LT; the records held are done so by the International Masters Speed Skating Committee and they are ratified at the Committee's Summer session each year. The only involvement that the ISU has in regards to the IMSSC is to supply a certain amount of funding to assist each year.
In a previous post, I wrote that there was no International body for St, I actually meant for Masters ST!
I have attached a link to the WR for Masters ST as of October 2008, but I have updated the list but not posted it recently. GB records have not been included due to differences in age groups to the rest of the world. The rest of the world have pretty much adopted 5 year age brackets from 30-years-old.
