I thought I would commence a forum board as an outlet for discussion in regards to Masters short track speed skating.
I have restricted creating threads to members only, so feel free to join and contribute to making our skating division/age groups more interactive.
I have allowed guests to comment or reply to thread posts but not create them. Any hateful or hurtful comments will be deleted - sorry, not here to hurt people.
Let the trial begin!

Hi Frank
Read your email on the Speedskate Falkirk site
Great to see the work you are doing.
We have a very active mastrers category in GB and I myself want to participate in more masters events worldwide. Our recent nationals had 11 competitors competing at a high standard.
my personal email is kwright@talktalkbusiness.net and if you want to reply i can give you more info

Thanks Keith, As you know, I have replied via your email already but this is exactly what I am wanting - some open discussion and recognition of the Masters category. Too many skaters leave the sport when they hit their 30's and I would like to see those guys being retained and having some fun. Hopefully this forum and www.worldmastersshorttrack.com will add some thrill back into the sport for some people who may have drifted away. Frank

Hi guys -just saw this forum right now. As one notice, there has not been that much traffic till now. In Denmark we're about 10 masters st-skaters - all started shorttrack as well grownups;-) All combining it with inline skating during the summer. Our annual "Danish International" race meeting has a masters class as well as all other categories. So please feel free to join us next year! happy skating everyone fromdk! oerits
